Job Description:
|
The Electronics Design Engineer will specify, design, develop and test electronic hardware solutions for new products in multidisciplinary project teams.
-Understand the primary design drivers for electronic hardware and embedded software -Liaise within project team to develop electronic hardware specifications -Derive and document detailed electronic hardware designs using innovative and well-documented methods -Implement electronic hardware designs into fully-functional prototypes and manufacturable products, and oversee PCB layout and assembly -Design and develop test equipment supporting research, lab assay development and manufacturing -Perform debug, test and verification of electronic hardware -Prioritize and execute delivery based on risks (compliance/delivery) -Develop documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements FDA 21 CFR 820 and CE. Familiar with ISO 60601 or ISO 61010. -Ensure compliance with internal standards and global regulations -Transfer knowledge relating to particular development environments and platforms to peer group as and when required -Liaise with external contractors, manufacturers, vendors and experts -Develop and deliver innovative electronic hardware solutions to meet customer needs -Ability to correctly identify and capture requirements -Timely (parallel) development of electronic hardware specifications and designs -Ability to convert prototypes into manufacturable electronic hardware designs -Development and testing (in-lab) of electronic hardware solutions

Qualifications:
|
BS degree with 2 + years of exeprience preferred
-Demonstrable experience in developing electronic hardware (incorporating microcontrollers, sensor arrangements, analog and digital functions) for low cost hand-held medical device platforms to FDA standards. Experience with electrochemical detection systems highly desirable -Demonstrable experience in designing low cost, low power, battery powered portable medical diagnostic equipment -Demonstrable experience in using oscilloscopes, multi-meters, signal generators and when necessary, electronic simulators and emulators -Demonstrable knowledge and experience in using structured electronic hardware design tools, configuration management tools and requirements management tools -Proven track record in solving diverse problems in electronic hardware -Degree qualified in electronics or transferable engineering discipline -Good interpersonal skills, committed work ethic, and strong sense of integrity -This position requires domestic travel, up to 15%
